Practical Steps to Re-Program Your Subconscious Mind
The subconscious mind lives and operates underneath the conscious mind. The term was coined by the French in the early 1800’s and they discovered that there lay in the brain in a separate form of conscious that was linked tightly to the various functions in the cerebrum. The subconscious has been central in the philosophy of the mind, and how the mind and the body act as a single and sometimes separate unit. The mind is the hive, the controlling agent that uses electrical impulses through the various lobes in the brain that commands the bodily functions.
Early civilizations realized the power to free the mind from the body and achieve a state of ‘higher consciousness’. This was in fact a state where the subconscious mind was open to wakefulness and a vast source of information. The subconscious mind takes instructions from the conscious mind and the sensory systems experiences of visual, auditory, and other forms of stimulation. These messages go directly into the subconscious mind and thus who we are; our behaviour, our attitudes and all our thoughts are brought to being. The subconscious shapes who we are, what we do and how we react to situations.
Previously no one had the means to reach into the subconscious nor had they the practice to just submerge themselves into a meditative almost hypnotic state. With brainwave entrainment, even the average person is able to hold that power in their hands. The ability to reprogram our mind means that we can take control of our own lives and kick the paradigms that have been ruling our lives.
This collective mind is powerful enough to make all your dreams a reality, you are left alone and you won’t enjoy all the good that you deserve. First you must understand the complexity of the subconscious mind, ten tap into this great spiritual reservoir that lies within.
There are two basic ingredients in the process of tapping into your subconscious mind.
1. Imagination. Imagination builds cities. Imagination builds companies. Ideas build financial empires and freedom.
The subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between reality and fantasy or imagination. Ideas that are formed in your mind are real and everything that you tell the subconscious mind to be the truth is the truth.
The power of your subconscious mind is a dynamic power which is never turned off. But if you do not know the secret of this power, you would be inclined to say that your subconscious is eccentric because it can “go along” with “outside” influences. At such times, if your subconscious could speak, it would say: “Apparently my master wants to act this way, so I’ll support that action.”
This is one of the laws of the subconscious mind: the law of compliance.
Once you have defined and clarified what you really desire, then the second step is faith. Faith is a strong belief that dictates that whatever is necessary for you to reach your goal will indeed occur. Faith is not just an idea. Faith is trust. Faith in yourself or in a friend means that you believe and trust him or her.
2. Faith. Faith is letting go and learning to trust. I define, clarify and affirm what I desire. Now, I have faith that it will occur in its time. Don’t force it to happen. It will naturally, because of your faith.
The ultimate answer to why life is good or not good is centered in the control or lack of control of a power that is possessed by everyone. Control of this power brings results as if “by magic.” Controlling the power of the subconscious mind means first mastering your thoughts so that you affirm only positive commands.
These keys can help to take control over your thoughts and in particular, your subconscious mind:
1. Think and speak positive, repetitively.
In other words, you must tell yourself over and over again that you can do what you want and that you will. You must tell yourself that you’re doing these things because you want to and not because you have to. It must be continuous and throughout the course of an entire day and night. You must hear your voice speaking the words. For instance, “I want to eat what is healthy (speak specific foods). I like those foods. They taste good and make me feel strong and lean. I’m lean and ripped. My muscles are full and striated.”
2. Visualize what you want.
This is important and goes hand-in-hand with speaking the words into your heart and mind. You must see the body that you want. You must see yourself working out with power and strength. You must visualize yourself with the muscle you want. You must see the foods that will help you and see your desire to want to eat them. Once again, because you want to not because you have to.
I have practiced the two above principles with mind-motivational conditioning techniques on clients while in the midst of working out and the results have been astonishing. I have witnessed clients lift weights 40-50 lbs heavier than they were able to budge before the affirmations and meditations were practiced. This all took place in a matter of minutes. That shows you the power of the mind.
3. Change your surroundings and habits.
One of the best ways to impact your subconscious is to surround yourself with things that will influence you towards your goals. Buy only the foods that support you. Watch and listen to things that are positive and empowering. I can’t articulate with words how incredible it is to engage in mind-motivational conditioning. Imagine not having to diet because you don’t want to eat what doesn’t fit your regimen. It’s that easy if you’re willing to practice it.
Once you imagine all the positive things that you desire and deserve, allow yourself to connect with this divinity, this collective mind that will bring to you everything that you imagine.
This is the true power of your subconscious mind. Don’t fool yourself by relying on your own power alone. No one has ever enjoyed true happiness, wealth and health by relying on their own minds alone.
This new attitude will bring about new habits, habits of success. You will experience a new life and you will find yourself happier than ever before.
